So Keleigh and I took a mini road trip out to Niland (by the Salton Sea) to see Salvation Mountain. Let me just say that it is the most depressing/scary drive I have ever taken. We immediately entered a state of depression followed by crippling fear that we would be eaten alive by inbred desert zombies. There was NOTHING for miles and miles and miles. It was fascinating and frightening at the same time. When we finally got to Salvation Mountain… we realized it was totally worth the drive. We were pretty much in awe. When we pulled up there was NO ONE there. It was sort of creepy but super awesome. I figured the artist, Leonard Knight, would be there, but we couldn’t find him anywhere, so we just kept looking around… all of a sudden, Keleigh whispered my name, and I turned around, and Leonard was sleeping on in the dirt inside one of the caverns… it was like 115 degrees outside. We left him in peace… the old man seemed to need his rest… and we took off back home. Being photographers, and feeling like we were on another planet, we decided to stop off at some random places to snap a few photos… one of the places being the Salton Sea. That body of water is heinous. It was essentially a huge sulfury/fishy smelling mud puddle. We didn’t stay very long. We also found some really cool run down buildings and some super rad dinosaurs. All in all it was a pretty terrifying, pretty awesome day.

Love the new header. As you can tell from these pictures, your t-rex is pretty much drawn to scale. Bravo.
